Welcome!

We are an active, welcoming chess club in Edinburgh.

We are located at Slateford Bowling club, where we have access to a spacious playing hall.

As well as playing in the Edinburgh League, we are actively running club nights with club championship, lightning and social chess games available.

Three games played in round 6 of the club championship.

Congratulations to Euan McDiarmid on drawing with his father (Allan McDiarmid) to win the championship with 5/6!

Congratulations also to David Hale on defeating Lewis Pantony to win the minor championship with 4/6.

The final round of the SNCL had the first team already safe, with the second team needing to win and rely on Corstorphine losing to survive.

A tough match against Edinburgh West B in the semi-final of the Jack Campbell Rosebowl resulted in a 2-3 loss.
